Bluetooth wireless technology - BlueAnt X3 Micro Headset product review

The compact BlueAnt 91034 X3 Micro headset, made by Australia's BlueAnt Wireless, is one of the smallest as well as best performing headsets around. The ergonomically designed Micro x3 fits snuggly in the ear canal and comes with an optional ear hook which can be adjusted to fit either ear. Weight is a mere 13 grams and the unit measures 5.2cm in length. Multifunction and volume buttons are on the front of the X3 Micro. An indicator light (which can be turned off) flashes when the unit is in use.

The BlueAnt Micro X3 is designed with Bluetooth v1.2 technology and supports headset and handsfree profiles. The unit will pair with up to 3 Bluetooth devices. Expect about 7 hours of talk time and a week of standby time. Recharge time is about 1.5 - 2 hours, and maximum wireless distance is the expected 30 feet. The Micro X3 headset is also VOIP compatible when paired with a Bluetooth enabled computer.

An interesting twist with the BlueAnt Micro X3 is the option of 3 different charging methods (all are provided in the box). The unit may be either plugged into your computers USB port, plugged into a standard AC outlet, or plugged into the car charger.
