Bluetooth wireless technology - bluetooth iPod adapters

The Apple iPod is by far the worlds most popular digital music player. Bluetooth wireless technology, once fairly limited to cell phone use, has rapidly increased in the past few years for many varied applications.

This immense popularity of the Apple iPod portable music system has spawned a number of adapters to convert the iPod to bluetooth wireless technology. Bluetooth technology allows for the short range wireless transmission of a signal between two Bluetooth enabled devices. It generally requires no set up and is simple to use. Through the use of an Ipod Bluetooth adapter and any Bluetooth enabled device, the iPod can be used wirelessly. This adds a new level of convenience to the many thousands of iPod users who can now walk their dog, exercise, or do virtually anything without the hassle of wires.

Apple has made mention on several occasions of integrating Bluetooth technology into newer model Ipods. As of this writing, it has yet to happen. An adapter is the obvious solution, and one that will work with most older models of Ipod as well as the newer models.

A number of larger well known manufacturers are now producing Ipod bluetooth adapters, with prices well below $100 for most models. They are generally small, lightweight, and have very little effect on the portability of the IPod.

One of the more popular iPod Bluetooth adapters available is the Jabra A125S Bluetooth Ipod Adapter. Produced by one of the finest names in electronics, the Jabra A125S Bluetooth Ipod Adapter features up to 10 hours of play time and is compatible with 30-pin dock connecting iPods. Coupled with bluetooth enabled stereo headphones it becomes a great combination for portable music enjoyment.
