In a fairly short time Australia based BlueAnt has become one of the leading suppliers of Bluetooth accessories in Australia and New Zealand. The BlueSonic Bluetooth Portable Speakers were introduced in the U.S. market late last year.

support A2DP technology (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), which allows the receiving of of dual channel audio sound in stereo. The unit can be paired with and works quite well with any number of Bluetooth devices. For those with an A2DP compliant cell phone, the speakers are easily paired by adjusting of the Bluetooth settings on your phone. A built in microphone allows the Bluesonics to act as a speakerphone as well for for either a cellular phone or VOIP from your computer. Plud in capability is available for your iPod or MP3 player with the included cable.
The unit itself has a relatively small footprint (7.5 by 3.2 by 1.5 inches). Speakers are encased in a simple attractive black matte finish case with a brushed aluminum control panel. Volume, call, play/pause, and shuffle controls are on the front of the unit. The back of the Bluesonic contains the power switch, line in, mic, and a DC jack. A nice added touch on the back of the unit is a pair of magnets which allow the Bluesonic to a filing cabinet or other suitable metal surface.
The BlueAnt Bluesonics portable speakers are designed with Bluetooth v1.2 technology and will pair with up to 8 Bluetooth devices. Playing time is rated at 10 hours @ 60 decibels and 5 hours @ 95 decibels with a standby time of 48 hours, (which can be increased if the unit is turned off between use). The unit is powered by a 3.7V Li-Polymer rechargeable battery. The unit is designed with Bluetooth v1.2 technology and will pair with up to 8 Bluetooth devices.

BlueAnt Bluesonics portable speakers offer an excellent well thought out accessory for fans of wireless technology. MSRP is about $150, however street price should be under $199.
